Cinnamon Almond Milk

Almond milk is effin’ expensive. I usually buy mine from the Bliss Juicery ’cause it’s down the road from my place and also their milks are FRESH and amazing. But still expensive. I mean I get it, almonds are ridiculously expensive all by themselves! Nevermind the extra stuff that goes in, plus all the time it takes… right?

There is a massive vegan movement happening around the world at the moment. I think more and more people are becoming aware of the impact that the animal agriculture industry is having on the environment. Both Kyla and myself have not made the move to complete vegan lifestyle, however we both believe in minimising meat consumption and being aware of what we eat and how it affects both our bodies and the world in general.

Rainbow Summer Salad

If you are having people over and want a side salad to be a bit less boring than the usual green salad, try this rainbow salad. It’s got great fats, greens, and is low in carbohydrates. It’s suitable for raw vegans, Banters, people following paleo and is just darn good for you. Add whatever salad dressing you like: but good old olive oil and balsamic vinegar is always a good bet.

Chicken & Kale Root Veg Pie

One thing I LOVE, love love love is a good PIE. I love cottage pie, pastry pie, pot pie, fold-overs, tarts, pies that aren’t even really pies at all… And I swear, if you put your mind to it, you can spin any traditional favourite into a healthy dish. That’s what I tried here. Good old chicken pie turned SUPER >> a super-food pie!!
