We were asked to contribute a recipe to a Vegan Zine that’s all black & white illustrations… Naturally we made a bowl.
If you are having people over and want a side salad to be a bit less boring than the usual green salad, try this rainbow salad. It’s got great fats, greens, and is low in carbohydrates. It’s suitable for raw vegans, Banters, people following paleo and is just darn good for you. Add whatever salad dressing you like: but good old olive oil and balsamic vinegar is always a good bet.
Summer is here, finally! It always take a bit longer to settle into the Cape, but right now, it’s glorious. That means that all a lot of us want to eat are salads, fresh food and beautiful produce. In South Africa we are so blessed to have so much choice readily available.
Yes you heard me! BREAD. PALEO BREAD! heeeeeee. These are another tried and tested favourite from Caryn’s mom, Ingrid! They dont reeeeealllyyyy taste like bread. Seriously. I mean what can replace the wonderful sweet and squishy floury gluten-filled clouds of delicious-ness that is a Ciabatta roll? Or a Portuguese roll? Or French loaf? Mmmmm. No. These guys are not a perfect bread replacement, BUT they sure do well for carb-free, paleo bread rolls! What I do with these (as I do with most paleo snacks) is I freeze them and take out one as I need, otherwise you have the worry of trying to eat them all in like 2 days and that isn’t awesome.
